Supervisor: Director, Brand Engagement

The Brand Engagement Manager is the key stakeholder for booking and logistics of all in-market and in-stadium brand engagement events and initiatives while managing the Brand Engagement Coordinator and their functions. This role will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars and will be assisting in gameday responsibilities involving Orbit and the Shuttle Crew. Additionally, the Brand Engagement Manager will spearhead the hiring of Spring Training Brand Engagement staff and planning of events, Junior Shooting Stars program, Shooting Stars audition and audition clinics, and internal requests for Brand Engagement assets.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars team, including but not limited to:
- Coordination of team bookings, staffing, and logistics of the team’s 250+ yearly games and events.
- Oversee financial P&L for the team and associated programs, including appearances, Junior Shooting Stars, clinics, and team auditions.
- Manage all team meetings and practices.
- Lead in organizing choreography for team performances.
- Develop uniform concepts and bring them from ideation to implementation.
- Run team auditions and boot camps with the intention of attracting best in class talent while promoting the Shooting Stars brand to our fanbase.
- Responsible for concepting and posting content to team’s social accounts.
- Serve as a collaborative partner cross-departmentally by communicating expectations, aligning goals, and supporting organizational success while maintaining team standards.
- Key stakeholder for the Brand Engagement master activation calendar of 500+ events.
- Manage and support the job functions and initiatives of the Brand Engagement Coordinator.
- Direct internal requests for the Shooting Stars and Orbit, while assisting with Shuttle Crew and Trophy requests.
- Assist in the hiring of Spring Training brand engagement activation staff and planning of activations and events.
- Assist with in-game responsibilities involving all Brand Engagement assets and marketing events.
- Work with the Brand Engagement Coordinator and provide oversight to create a comprehensive in-market activation campaign that drives engagement and year-round excitement to the Texas Children’s Houston Open and other Astros sponsored events.
- Develop new fan engagement programs that support growth of the Astros and Shooting Stars brand while driving revenue.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of college or professional dance and choreography experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – can interact well with all organizational levels internally and externally.
- Detailed oriented, organized and able to multi-task.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels (executives, corporate partners, etc.).
- Strong team-building skills.
- High level of professionalism, exhibiting integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
- Creative, energetic, and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to anticipate and react quickly to changing circumstances.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and a good driving record.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Position may be exposed to all types of varying weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, etc.).
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. This individual will be required to lift/move/carry objects up to 50lbs at a time.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and while the core organizational business days/hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, the nature of this position requires hours of work and days that include frequent nights, weekends and holidays. Must possess ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
Travel may be expected in this role.
